Oilfield Instrumentation announced the expansion of its Bakersfield, California rental fleet to accommodate increasing activity by local clientele.
The newest order for customized MWD units requires OI to deliver six additional units to one customer in the first quarter of 2012. OI opened the Bakersfield service center last year in response to significant new drilling activity in that area.
“Our Bakersfield location continues to prove its value to major producers,” said Peyton Reddick, president of Oilfield Instrumentation. “Our rig-up, rig-down, turn-key solution is a winning offer for fast-moving producers who often need a custom unit quickly.”
Reddick noted that the service center has focused on convenience, requiring only a single email or phone call from the client in order for OI’s knuckleboom crane to have a unit loaded onto an 18-wheeler and dispatched to the client’s site in one hour.
“We offer one-stop shopping for field units, with complete delivery, set-up, maintenance, power-down, storage and refurbishment services available on call. We prove ourselves in this market every day,” Reddick said.
