VIDALIA, LOUISIANA (September 14, 2011) – Oilfield Instrumentation sister company, Advanced Building Services (ABS), which manufactures custom oilfield buildings, announced the securement of 13 acres in Vidalia Industrial Park where it plans to add a computerized robotic welding and shearing facility, to complement its operations currently located on nearby Highway 15.
The expansion will mean more jobs for and economic investment into the local economy. There is currently a multi-million dollar construction backlog for the two companies combined. “We are very enthusiastic about this opportunity to add economic benefits to the local community while simultaneously growing our company,” said Allen Stuart, owner of OI and ABS.
Advanced Building Services’ original manufacturing facility in Concordia Parish opened in 2007, where it fabricates custom well-site accommodation buildings and hazardous environment labs for major oil companies.
